The Next Stage: Preparing Our Daughters For Wisdom & Womanhood
"The suicide rate of the Black girls increased an average of 6.6 percent each year — more than twice the increase for boys, the study said. Nearly 40 percent of the girls were 12 to 14 years old, indicating that this age group may need additional attention or different types of interventions." - new york times
One of the many ways we can remedy the decline in the mental state of Black girls by instilling the principles of Afrikan Womanhood which will build TRUE self esteem while providing them with the tools to maintain that esteem.
Together we can create a passage for our girls emotional and spiritual wholeness so that they can be better prepared to embrace the responsibilities of womanhood when the time comes.
We covered topics such as:
Understanding Girlhood vs. Womanhood
Dealing with the Mental Changes from Girlhood to Womanhood
Honoring your emotions
Understanding The Afrikan Feminine Growth Cycle
How to Curate Appearances
Starting Your Future Family in Order
And More
We know some these things can be sensitive to discuss so we’ve created an open, safe space for our girls that promotes impactful and constructive dialogue on these important topics!
